To be eligible to apply,

• Applicants must be from Somaliland and cannot have another citizenship at time of application. This means that Somalis with British, US, Canadian, and other foreign citizenships are not eligible and cannot apply. Applicants can have Somalia Passports but they must be from Somaliland and not Somalia.  Somalia has its own National Committee so applicants from Somalia should apply there.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in Form 3 (11^th grade) or Form 4 (12^th grade) of secondary school. Anyone unable to prove this will have his or her application automatically disqualified.
